Happy 4th of July!

So we were suppose to be in Arizona for the 4th but we came home because... well long story. Let's me just say the drive from Arizona to San Diego is not fun with 2 kids and no where to stop. I think it took us about 6 or 7 hours and it's only suppose to be a 5 hour drive. Yesterday was a long day! So today was a good rest day for us. It was definitely an interesting 4th of July! Here in Coronado there are at least 2 Navy bases that I know of so they really like to celebrate. The day started with a parade that had almost every street closed. It was pretty good but no candy was ever thrown. At first we couldn't figure out and thought it was weird but then realized they probably didn't want the candy trash all over the place. Let's just say one little girl was pretty disappointed. There were lots of other activities that we did not go to. We came home to rest. The best part of the day was the fireworks and we didn't even go anywhere. The house we're staying at has a roof top area that puts your pretty high up. We thought we would only be able to see the ones on the island. But boy were we wrong. At 9:00 they started and we saw not 1... 2...3...4...5 but 6 areas shooting fireworks. Everywhere you turned there were some. The funny thing is they were literally all the same. It was pretty neat!
With this day coming to a close, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has or is currently serving and protecting our country! God bless you and the USA! Happy 4th of July everyone!

So coming soon...New York trip...My hubby's visit and all the fun stuff we did! I will also be able to post pictures! So look back in a week or so.

The First Week

So I've officially been here a week now. It's been really busy but fun. I think I've played restaurant, grocery store, doctor and, my favorite (very sarcastic), princess and king every day, all day. It doesn't matter where we are, we some how manage to play them.
I like going to the games and have had some interesting and cool experinces. The first game I went to with them was a 1:05 game that lasted 18 innings. The game ended at 7:30 with the Padres finally winning. We didn't leave the field until 8:30. I must say I've never been at a baseball field for 7 and 1/2 hours. I think the second game made up for the first intense game. The second game the owners of the team invited all the wives of the players to their suite. Yeah I know... I'm not a player's wife but I am a nanny for one, so I got to go. It was really nice! They had wonderful food and it was a great view. Right behind home plate. I was very disappointed that I didn't carry my camera. But don't worry two days later at the day game, there was a note on the family lounge door saying that we could go up there again. I did have my camera that day and did get some pictures. The sad part is I don't have my computer to load them on. So when I get that I will do my best to show some pictures.
Another thing we did this week was go to Sea World. I have never been there and thought it was really fun. The coolest thing is we got the fun pass that doesn't expire until the end of the year. It was nice because we didn't have to rush to see everything because we knew we would be back. So hopefully I'll get to go several times this summer. We were actually talking about going tomorrow or early next week. Can't wait!
I also can't wait for my hubby to come out to visit! Only 20 more days! (give or take) But who's counting.

I don't really know where to begin

During the school year I was asked by a family in my preschool class to help them out for the summer. I've gotten pleanty of offers like this before but this one was different. The dad plays baseball for the San Diego Padres and they live in the San Diego area during the season. This was an awesome opportunity! Not only would I be going to San Diego I would also be traveling wherever the wife decides to go. Pretty neat...huh!?
So here I am in Coronado, CA. It is a nice area! I flew out here May 23 and I think Im finally getting used to the 3 hour time change.
One neat thing I found out is when crossing the bridge between San Diego and Coronado some where out in the distance is Mexico. There's also a mountain range that is very beautiful! I love crossing that bridge!
Another interesting thing is the weather. What do you think of when you think of Californa? Warm weather, right? WRONG! It has been in the 60's since I've gotten here. It's not bad, acutally very nice in long sleeves. Well I didn't bring long sleeves, only short sleeves and tank tops. Luckily I did bring one light sweater that I've worn every day. Hopefully it will warm up soon!
